R.E.D. Study Committee
The Voluntary Regional Education District Study Committee is comprised of 5 member town representatives from Jamaica, Newfane, Brookline, Windham, and Townshend.
The charge of this committee, with facilitation and support from the Vermont School Boards Association, is to "complete a three-phase governance merger study for the Brookline, Jamaica, Newfane, Townshend and Windham School District Boards (Boards). In doing so the VSBA agrees to assist the Study Committee to identify the benefits and challenges of creating a Regional Education District (RED) and the resulting articles of agreement for a k-12 unified union school district as outlined in Act 153 of 2010 and 16 V.S.A. § 706.
